On to the table of Panzer-Industrieabfall-Kompanie Sabotage Platoon, one of the folks being the owner of NUTZ, a hobby shop in the heart of Tokyo specialized in ... Ma.K!
They re-issued their general-purpose girl figure at 1/20 (with two optional heads),
... and added another one to the line. Doesn't the figure on the right strikingly resemble Allison Scagliotti?!?!
For Ma.K, proposed was this 1/20 PKA Ausf G-10,
... which is an improved version of a very popular model issued in the past.
The one item many people were talking about was this 1/200 Pluto.
The kit includes a couple of same-scale Snake-Eye and Kauz models!
No reports can afford to miss the Armor Modelling booth, which is where you get a chance to see in person the many models you are familiar with from the books and the magazines.
On the upper shelf of the display are what is already available from Hasegawa, including the Falke kits at the far end...
... and here, their latest release, the 1/35 Luna Diver Stingray...
... which comes with a figure of the pilot that can be built in two different ways,
... and escorting Prowler SG and Fireball SG.
Also on the same shelf was the officially announced 1/35 Nutrocker! Needless to say, this had a lot of people going nuts! (Too easy, I know, I know...)
The lower shelf was apparently a display of what the person in charge of the Ma.K line at Hasegawa is dreaming about bringing into production. Displayed on that shelf of 1/35 dreams were Kröte and PAK Kröte, PKA Gustav, and SAFS Snowman squad.
This set of 1/35 Dollhouse and accompanying SAFS-type suits were also in. Let's wish it doesn't remain just a dream!
But a major event at the booth was the signing of autographs by Ms. Takako Lopez, the very model featured in the Falke issue of the Ma.K Profile series.
The first 100 people who bought a Ma.K-related publication at the booth, or a figure of Ms. Lopez produced by BRICKWORKS, were issued a ticket allowing them to get in line for the signing. Needless to say, the figures were all sold-out quite quickly.
While waiting for the pretty lady to arrive, I decided to take a picture of the figure painted by Yokoyama-sensei himself. That is exactly when she showed up, which made me fumble with my camera!
Trying to decide which of her and the figure to shoot, I missed both (the camera focused on the SAFS behind the figure)!
I had a better luck waiting for my turn. She's adorable in person. The event was her first, and she apparently had fun!
As a side note, long before the BRICKWORKS figure went into production, a couple of talented modelers already had made Ms. Lopez a subject of their projects. These are astonishing!
Signing at the same time was Yokoyama-sensei himself, which led to confusion as to which was the line for whom, LOL.
